RFS Hydraulics Rfs Stainless Steel SS316 Jic Female Swivel Male Connector, 3/4 Swivel X 1/2 Npt, Adjustable Adapter Connector for Tube and Hose, 37-Degree Flared Compression Fitting, Sae J514 Standard
JIC-FEMALE SWIVEL MALE CONNECTOR
WHAT IS JIC FITTING?
JIC fittings are manufactured in compliance with ISO 8434-2 and SAE J514 standards. JIC is also known as flared fittings as it has 37-degree flared seating, which is different from NPT thread. JIC is applied with the assembly of hoses, used to connect various tube sizes with sleeve and nut. A complete set of JIC fittings includes sleeve, nut and body
It is suitable to be applied in general application where the fluid is conveyed under high pressure such as hydraulics or industrial. Fitting sizes are designed according to outer diameter of tubes and to be used to connect various types of tube ends. JIC fittings with NPT thread are able withstand higher pressure, temperature, and resistance than NPT thread. Depending on the type and size of fitting, the maximum working pressure is up to 6200 PSI (430 Bars). There are also several connection types; Type 1: JIC (1st connection) x JIC (2nd connection), Type 2: JIC (1st connection) x BSPP (2nd connection), and Type 3: JIC (1st connection) x NPT (2nd connection).
JIC fittings are available in either stainless steel, carbon steel or brass material. The JIC fitting made from stainless steel 316 grade is with higher resistance against corrosion and rust, and it can withstand temperature between -60 °C to 200 °C.
About JIC – FEMALE SWIVEL MALE CONNECTOR
Usage: Enables the rotation of fittings and hoses without causing excessive twisting and bending
Thread: Female Swivel JIC end x NPT Male end
Material: Stainless steel 316 with higher resistance against corrosion
Size range: (1/4” – 1 ½”) Swivel X (1/8” – 1 ½”) NPT

STEPS TO INSTALL JIC FITTINGS
Cut the tube to the required length and flare the end to 37-degree before installation.
Lubricate the threads and the surface of the flare.
Insert the nut and sleeve onto the tube end connection. Align the components and turn the flare nut until the sealing surface is fully contacted.
