This is a SHB flat side square flange. Size availability between 1/4" to 6" with socket weld (weld-in) connection. A complete set square flange is able to withstand maximum pressure up to 210 KGF/CM2 and is made to JIS F7806 standard.
WHAT IS A SQUARE FLANGE?
Square flange is used to connect to a plain end pipes or component, allowing a seamless flow of liquid throughout the hydraulic system. It is commonly used in high-pressure connections with small diameter pipes. To create a strong leak proof connection, welding will be done at the recessed part of the flange. A complete set of square flange has 4 components. One flat flange, one O-ring flange, 4 pieces of hexagon or Allen cap screws, and 1 piece of NBR O-ring.
WHAT ARE THE AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS?
There are 4 types of square flange configurations;
· SHAB is commonly used in the hydraulic industry with a maximum working pressure of 210kg/cm². It is installed with hexagon bolts.
· SSAB has a smaller body than SHAB. It also has a maximum working pressure of 210kg/cm² and it is installed using Allan cap screws.
· KAB flanges are able to withstand higher working pressure up to 280kg/cm² or 350kg/cm², depending on the type. It has a similar configuration method as SHAB.
· Blind square flange is used to terminate the end connection of a fluid flow.
HOW DO I INSTALL SQUARE FLANGE?
1. Ensure the surface of the flanges are clean.
2. Lubricate the o-ring.
3. Next, position the flanges & the bolts correspondingly to the holes.
4. Tighten with a spanner for maximum tightness.
