The Eagle brand was designed in Belgium in 1888 by the Belgian playing card Company Van Genechten.

At the time with a special focus on the Chinese market for playing cards. In 1970, Van Genechten, together with another Belgian playing card maker Brepols founded Cartamundi.

In 1972, the Eagle brand was introduced in Singapore by the Malaya Trading Company. In good Asian tradition, a model number was added to the brand, creating 601 Eagle. In 2012, the 808 Eagle brand was introduced, a superior Casino Grade pack of playing cards.

Today, Eagle is the most popular playing card brand in Singapore

and is known by card lovers and Baccarat players for it’s strong and long lasting quality.
