TIGER BRAND QUICK DRY PRIMER 6150

Solvent Based Quick Dry Alkyd Coating

DESCRIPTION:

Tiger Brand Quick Dry 6150 is a single component quick dry alkyd primer reinforced with zinc phosphate.

TYPICAL USES:

Recommended for industrial and residential applications where rapid turnaround is required.

SUBSTRATES:

Recommended mainly for ferrous substrates. For other substrates, please check with Seng Fong Paint Representative.

ADVANTAGES:

 Good corrosion resistance.

 Dries very quickly.

 Easy to apply coating by brushing, rolling or spraying.

 Exhibits good hardness.

TECHNICAL DATA:

Colour: Red Oxide, Grey (other colours can be customized)

Finish: Matt

Volume Solids: 44 ± 3%

TYPICAL CURING CONDITIONS:

Touch Dry @ 30oC: 10 To 15 minutes

Hard Dry @ 30oC: 2 to 4 Hours

Dry To Recoat: 6 Hours (minimum); Indefinite (maximum)

Surface Preparation

Surface should be free from water, oil, grit and any other foreign material

Application

Tiger Brand Quick Dry Primer 6150 can be applied by spraying, brushing or rolling. The application and finishing by rolling, brushing or spraying can be further enhanced by using the proper thinner.

Wet film thickness: 89 microns

Dry film thickness: 35 microns

Spreading rate: 12.5 m2/litre (calculated)

Spraying

Use Thinner 3002 up to 10% by weight for better application and finish.

Brushing And Spraying

Use Thinner 3002 up to 5% by weight for better application and finish.

Cleaning

All equipment should be thoroughly cleaned with Thinner 3002 after use.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE:

The product comes in 5 and 20 litres packing. Must be stored in cool well ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

Do not inhale spray mist. Remove all contaminated clothing and wash skin with suitable proprietary cleaners or soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. If persistent discomfort or irritation occurs after application please seek medical advice.
