This is an easy and ready-to-use antimicrobial self-disinfecting coating, formulated to apply on the air conditioner and filter to protect you, family members, and colleagues from secondary airborne pathogenic infection.

The air conditioner absorbs environmental air in an enclosed room into the air intake vent. The air contains dust particles, fibres, hairs, and micro-pollutants not visible to the eyes, including infectious pathogens, and filters through the filter into the heat exchanger, releasing cool air through its louvre out to the environment.

Differences between AM COAT and contractors' conventional air conditioner chemical wash and disinfectant

The air conditioner technician or contractors servicing the air conditioners only provide standard chemical wash and disinfectants, and these chemical solutions are effective before they dry, thereafter, pathogens continue their colony form up (CFU), multiplying the risk of secondary reinfection in humans.

AM COAT for air conditioner and filter on the other hand bonds to the surface semi-permanently with a positively charged molecular chain continuing antimicrobial activities 24/7, and up to 30 days, neutralizing pathogens by physically rupturing pathogens' cell membranes, inactivating their ability to reinfect during contact, and helps to protect against pathogens, fungi, and mould.

Added with the Green Tea scent, after application and with a proper wipe down on the air conditioner cover (washable filter need not do wipe-down), the Green Tea scent refreshes the room and mildew odour, and you can experience a sense of calmness.

This AM COAT is also suitable to apply on cars and automobile high touch point surfaces such as;- aircon vents, dashboards, steering wheels, handbrakes, seat belts, leather seats, side panels, doorknobs, etc.

Application for air conditioner:

- Turn off the air conditioner before application

- Clean the surface of the air conditioner and its filter before applying AM COAT, and ensure commercial air conditioner and AHU duct vent covers are clean before applying.

- Spray sparingly on both sides of the washable filter and leave to dry for around 10-20 min

- Spray on the air conditioner cover, faceplate, louvre and frame, and do a wipe-down

- After the filter dries, check its mesh is not clogged and install them onto the airconditioner

Application for cars' high touch point surface:

• Clean the car and automobile high touch point surfaces before application.
• Spray sparingly on car aircon vent, dashboard, steering wheel, handbrake, seat belts, leather seats, side panels, doorknobs, etc., and do a wipe-down for antimicrobial self-disinfecting, 24/7, and >30 days of protection. The car can be used once AM COAT is dry.

Maintenance:

Use a clean cloth wet with water to wipe on the coated surface to remove dirt and dust (avoid using bleach or detergent with pH >10.5) to maximize AM COAT antimicrobial efficacy.

Recommend to wash the air conditioner filter twice a month or when they are dirty, and reapply AM COAT if the treated surface is scratched or when required.
