S-20W Wireless 2D Barcode Scanner

A handheld barcode scanner is a portable electronic device designed for the purpose of quickly and accurately capturing information from barcodes. There are wireless type as well as corded type using mostly a USB cable connected to the computer or cash register or POS system. Some consists of both type of communication method.

Barcodes are visual representations of data, typically in the form of black and white parallel lines of varying thickness. These scanners utilize technology to read and interpret the information encoded in these barcodes. The same for QR codes.

Other forms of barcodes, one-dimensional 1D or 2D barcodes can also be scanned. Some even can scan QR codes as well as barcodes on screen. Most of these devices do not need special software or app installation. They are mainly used for capturing information and are widely used in library, restaurants, supermarkets, warehouses and logistics setups.

Our S-20W barcode scanner is both a corded type using a USB connection (attached USB cable to computer), or it can use the wireless dongle (wireless mode only). The scanner uses a laser system for reading the barcode. In wireless mode, the dongle is attached to the CPU unit. The USB cable is one metre long and is only used in corded mode (optional).

It is a 1D/2D barcode scanner and can scan QR code and even barcode on screen. Because it is equipped with auxiliary illumination, it can be used in all lighting environments and even at night. The reading distance can be as far as 20cm.

The barcode scanner can be attached to Windows compatible system or POS system.
